Date & Time: 01/09/2020 – Meet at 19:00 for 19:15 start

Location: Ogden Res Public Car Park GR 953-122 – Newhey

Route:

The race starts in the field over the road from the Car-Park keeping to the left hand wall. At the top of the field turn left onto tarmac road climbingthrough the hamlet. Follow the road round to the right (Jon Platts House) and the road now turn firstly into cobbles and then a rough track running between two stone walls. Follow this track gradually uphill for .7K (seems like longer) until you come to Kennels and a farm on either side of the track. A few metres after the Kennel entrance there is a stile (1) on your left, take this path keeping to the right hand fence initially, then heading NW across the field (beware of any horses).

Once over the stile the path hugs the left hand wall line until you hit track running across you, head left through the wall and follow the feint path into the water board land, arcing right around the fence-line. The path drops steeply towards the end bringing you out at the gate entrance.  Turn immediately right by Piethorne Res following the track along and then round the eastern edge of Res. Just as the track starts to bear right, bear left (2) and follow the path through a stile and to a track running across you. Turn immediately left downhill alongthe track before climbing back out of the vale (through metal gate) and follow track upgradually bearing left once the height has been gained.

Keep on the track which undulates between the stone walls before droppingto a major track crossing. Straight over this junction passing through a metal gate shortly after.  Keep on this track all the way to the next gate (4) climb over the fence and then immediately left through the stile at the same fence. There is a lovely track heading down, keep the wall close to your left as the path drops to steps towards the bottom. Turn immediately right along the track and through a wooden gate. In around 100m on your leftyou will see a metal stump on the ground marking the stile through the wall. Down the path then a final sprint alongthe dam wall to the finish.
