Bob Graham Leg 1 Reccie
There are few places better to be than the lakes on a sunny weekend. I just returned form Reccie-ing Leg 1 of the Bob Graham with Ray Green as navigatron. We ran the whole route on saturday in great weather - with one monsoon shower - Then retired to the pub. Shaun Thompson took on the challenge of sail beck fell race while Ray and I accompanied by Tim Whittaker went for a look at an alternative descent from Blencathra via Middle tongue and Gate Gill. This looks to have great promise as it is not as exposed as Halls fell ridge (which I never enjoy in the dark). Thanks to special guest appearances from Phil Davies and Tim LOrd who hoofed it over to join us on a great weekend.

Cross Keys Killer
When asked whether she had a good run, before knowing the result, Cross Keys Killer winner Sue Hinde said "Oh, fairly average". Her handicap's obviously still too soft!
FERNTHORPE FROLIC
This years Frolic is Tuesday 20th May 7.00pm to try and run for 7.30pm.
We have the same ever popular run. Fell shoes advisable especially if wet!
All welcome. Lee Bowden won last year with 46m 05s and first lady was Sue Kiveal at 49m 11s.
Yeoman Hey Skyline
I intend to run from Binn Green on Saturday (10/5/08) morning starting at 9am. My vague route plan at the moment involves climbing Alderman, around the edges to the milepost, over the edges by Adam's cross, across the valleys, over the edges above Ravenstones, on to Ashway and maybe further around the edges, depending on the state of me by then.
Junior Success at Coiners Fell Race
After all the running by the senior members of the Club this weekend, it was the Juniors who took centre stage at the Coiners Fell race in Mytholmroyd on Bank Holiday Monday. Both Rose Mather (yes I know she now runs for Calder Valley, but is still one of ours) and Tom Thomas were 2nd and 3rd respectively in their keenly contested races. Race Photos
